"White River" by Grace W.
She spies a white fence
A river running over hills of grass
Emerging from the trees
So we all go to it
She brings up her camera
We walk around, giggling
The clouds swell up
So we all act natural
She says to come here
And I stand by that white river
I hope the clouds don’t cry
So we watch each other smile
She wants all three kids
We stand in a row
The wind blows my hair
So we look towards the sky
She says natural moments
He jumps onto my back
Then the other on him
So we pile up by the river
She uses that camera
To capture a memory
Just as we all laugh
So we look radiant
She wasn't supposed to be there
We weren't allowed by that river
It wasn't purposeful
So we got off easy
Our pictures were good by that white river
A river running over hills of grass
Emerging from the trees
So we all go to it
She brings up her camera
We walk around, giggling
The clouds swell up
So we all act natural
She says to come here
And I stand by that white river
I hope the clouds don’t cry
So we watch each other smile
